On board with the Sigma 24-70 mm F2.8 EX DG HSM

Hey guys,

today it’s time again for another photo walk. This weekend I went downstream by ship from the wonderful city of Vienna to the nearest capital of another country. It was my first ride on a fast ferryboat and also my first visit to Bratislava. Since I knew somebody who works on the ferry, I was even allowed to take pictures in the captain’s cabin.

On this short trip I took along my Canon OS 5D Mark III and my Sigma 24-70 mm F2.8 EX DG HSM. With this equipment I could capture the details of the ship and the ride as well as the beautiful scenery around. The Sigma 24-70mm is a popular and light-intense standard zoom lens. For me it is a great companion on trips and journeys as it’s an all-rounder lens. It’s comparable to the SIGMA 24-105mm F4 DG OS HSM | Art which has also accompanied me on several journeys around the globe. Thanks to a light intensity of 2.8 you can even take nice pictures under difficult lighting conditions.

I know that I’m showing you only photos I took on board and hide the pictures of the beautiful cities Vienna and Bratislava. However, I thought this might be a nice little challenge all of you can try if you feel like. Just create an entire photo story with a variety of photos (a mix of atmospheric close-ups and impressive far-angle shots) at a limited location. Why not use your own house, your best friend’s terrace or the main square of your home town as a location and make a photo story there? I’d be very happy if I gave some of you some little inspiration.

Yours, dearly

Tamara

PS: The pictures of Vienna and Bratislava will be published in the next blog article
