Motifs from neighbour’s garden

As is well known the grass is always greener on the other side. In my case it’s not the grass, but rather the interesting photo motifs that every so often make me look jealously in the direction of my neighbour’s garden. 🙂 Lush vegetation, all kinds of insects and pets racing around – my neighbour, who is also a passionate photographer, has no problems finding photo subjects. Occasionally I drop by for a cup of Turkish coffee and a pony of slivovitz or “loza”, in order to take photos in his garden and chat about photography. He is a “zoom person” and doesn’t understand my fascination with DPMs and DPQs at all. Furthermore he finds having to change lenses tedious, which is why he would love to have a cheap, small camera with a large sensor and a 24-400mm f/2 FF equivalent lens. “One can always dream!” he said laughing loudly in reply, while I was trying to explain, that something like that will probably exist in the earlies, after both of us have retired. At which point we won’t be talking about cameras, but about “walker frame tripods” instead. 😉
