It is impossible not to love photography fairs, especially the CP+, which is one of the most important ones of its kind worldwide. Not three days after the 24/1.4 Art, the DP0 Quattro and some other DP accessories were announced, there are already more product pictures and more information. The 24mm f/1.4 Art looks a little huge on the Canon 1200D (the Japanese brand name is Kiss X70), which is one of the smallest APS-C DSLRs.

And last but not least, the 150-160mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary on a – by now slightly outdated – Canon 30D:

By now there is already some first information on price and availability regarding the two lenses: the 24/1.4 Art and the 150-160mm Contemporary are said to have a RRP set at $849 and $1,089 respectively, and should be released in the US on March 20th. How much the lenses will cost over here and when they will start shipping is not yet known. In any case, it has been confirmed that the 150-160mm Contemporary will weigh 1.93kg, clocking in almost one kg less than the Sports (2.86kg).

DPReview has published some first samples, taken with the 24mm f/1.4 Art. However, one shouldn’t come to any hasty conclusions, as the sample photos were taken with the Canon version lens attached to a Sony A7r via an adapter. As always when using an adapter, it is hard to tell if and in how far this reduces the image quality.
