Sigma News & Rumors: Firmware-Updates for DP1, DP2 Quattro and the 150-600mm Sports

Sigma released three firmware updates – two for the DP1 Quattro and DP2 Quattro, and one for the 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Sports. Every FW remedies a single bug, respectively. You can read the short changelogs below.

Firmware 1.01 for the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports

  • It has improved the precision in its focusing performance when the AF frames in peripheral areas in the viewfinder are selected.

Note: the FW is only suitable for the lens with Canon mount and is not downloaded but automatically installed after connecting the lens to your USB dock and starting Sigma Optimization Pro.

  • It has corrected the phenomenon that the software occasionally saves images with partially misaligned pixels.

Firmware 1.04 for Sigma DP2 Quattro – download page

  • It has corrected the phenomenon that the software occasionally saves images with partially misaligned pixels.

Have any of you experienced the problem with the Quattros mentioned above? I could notice nothing of the sort.
