What Do You Use Short Tele Lenses For?

deutsch_s1

I’ve had the Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 for a few weeks now and shoot the same subjects I would shoot with my shorter focal lengths. That is to say: cats, dogs, flowers, plants, insects, etc. Maybe the 50-150mm is not quite the right lens or focal length for me. Maybe I just don’t know how to shoot other subjects than the ones mentioned above. Or maybe it really doesn’t make any difference which focal length you use for what subject, as you can shoot anything you like with any lens. And maybe the entire notion of different focal length suitability for certain subjecs (such as tele for sports/animals, WA for landscapes/architecture etc.) really only exists in our minds. What do you shoot with your tele lenses?
