Macro, what else?

Today I was out and about again with my standard macro setup, the Sigma DP3 Merrill and the Marumi DHG200. Plenty of sun and hardly any wind – perfect conditions for a macro walkabout. And wherever you looked: tiny six-legged monsters, it can’t get better than that. You don’t even have to look closely, just shoot in any direction. The only things missing were butterflies and bigger spiders. But as soon as they come out, it will be really easy to take beautiful macro photos.

Despite grand weather and plenty of themes, it did not turn out to be a perfect photo-day: I got stung in my right thumb by an angry wasp. The pain didn’t last long, but the swelling made it quite challenging to firmly hold on to the camera. German comedian Michael Mittermeier is right when he says „nothing goes well without a little pain“. 😉
