When photographer and grizzly-expert Brad Josephs shot some video-material for BBC’s and Discovery’s Great Bear Stakeout, he came up with the idea of strapping a GoPro onto a stone in order to take some close-up takes of the bear. The video the camera thus captured not only exceeded his expectation, but also that of many fans of nature and wildlife. When do you really get the opportunity to marvel at grizzlies from an animal of prey-perspective?
Those of you who still haven’t had enough, there is a similar video by photographer Chris Bray out there. Only this time, it was a lioness that nibbled at the camera, and an elephant that almost trampled down the annoying, noisy, radio-controlled car the camera was attached to.
Something about these action cameras makes them irresistible for wild animals. It is remarkable, however, that the little gadgets survived the torture in both cases 🙂
